Muscle Cars & Classics started off as a dream idea in the 90’s by an auto enthusiast and over the years, what originated as a hobby, snow-balled into one of the most popular classic car websites on the internet. Seeing the power of the Internet, he saw its potential for furthering the classic car hobby by making it easier to find and purchase classic cars.
Let’s face it, the cars we are highlighting here for our clients cannot be found on every street corner anymore and the Internet, properly used, opens up our marketplace. Often-times, the exact car you’re looking for may be hundreds (or thousands) of miles away and the person willing to buy your car more than likely is far away as well. The Internet is the most effective medium currently for the buying and selling of classic cars. No need for complete wild-goose chases driving long distances (or flying cross country) trying to find your dream car. We have all been disappointed with reading tiny newspaper ads in the past or seeing a small black & white printed image advertised in a publication on newspaper-quality stock only to be completely let-down upon seeing the vehicle in person. This situation was a large influence on the decision to create Muscle Cars & Classics.
Although the Internet cannot (and should not be expected to) eliminate all disappointments concerning your classic car search, it gives auto enthusiasts the best option currently available for the buying, selling and trading of classic automobiles. The text contained in an Internet ad can be dozens of times more detailed than conventional advertising in a local newspaper. Large detailed color images allow the sellers to most effectively highlight a car’s condition and give the buyer that much more confidence before making that long trip. Best of all, classified sites online offer ads at comparative rates to the local newspaper and reach a much larger audience (a bargain indeed!).
